SparkConnect Tools is a field reference and productivity application for informational and planning purposes only. It does not replace professional judgment, licensed supervision, engineering review, the National Electrical Code (NEC/NFPA 70), local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements, manufacturer instructions, OSHA requirements, permits, or inspections. Never rely solely on this app for any electrical installation decision.
NEC and Code References
SparkConnect Tools cites NEC article numbers for reference and educational purposes. The National Electrical Code (NEC) is copyrighted by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). SparkConnect Tools does not reproduce NEC code text verbatim. All NEC references in this app are paraphrased summaries for general educational use. Always consult the full adopted NEC edition and your local AHJ for authoritative code requirements.
Code requirements vary by jurisdiction. The NEC edition adopted locally may differ from the edition referenced in this app. Always verify the currently adopted code edition with your local AHJ before any installation.
Sparky AI — Limitation of AI Responses
Sparky AI provides general electrical code guidance generated from a local reference database and/or an AI language model. AI-generated responses may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. SparkConnect makes no warranty that any AI response is code-compliant, accurate, or applicable to your specific situation, jurisdiction, equipment, or installation conditions.
Sparky AI responses are not professional electrical engineering advice and do not substitute for qualified supervision, engineering review, inspection, or the adopted NEC edition.
Calculator Accuracy
All calculations in SparkConnect Tools (pipe bending, voltage drop, box fill, conduit fill, ampacity, and others) are based on standard methods and NEC reference data. Calculation results are starting points for field planning only. They do not account for all site conditions, derating factors, equipment-specific requirements, or local amendments. You are solely responsible for verifying all calculation results before use in any installation.
Electrical Safety
Electrical work can cause fire, electrocution, serious injury, or death if performed incorrectly. This app does not provide safety training and is not a substitute for proper licensing, supervision, or safe work practices. Always de-energize circuits using proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures per OSHA requirements. Always test conductors with a calibrated meter before touching. Follow NFPA 70E for electrical safety in the workplace.
Permits and Inspections
Most electrical work requires permits and inspections by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). This app does not determine permit requirements and does not replace inspection by a qualified authority. Unpermitted electrical work may create safety hazards, void insurance coverage, and create legal liability.
No Professional or Engineering Advice
Nothing in SparkConnect Tools constitutes professional engineering, legal, or financial advice. For engineering review, consult a licensed professional engineer. For legal questions, consult a licensed attorney. For licensing requirements, contact your state licensing board.
Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
SparkConnect Pro subscriptions are billed monthly ($7.99/mo) or annually ($49.99/yr at launch). Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Sparky AI answer packs are one-time purchases. All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your device's app store account settings. Prices are subject to change with notice. No refunds except as required by applicable law or app store policy.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SparkConnect Tools and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, death, code violations, failed inspections, or financial losses — arising from or related to your use of or reliance on this application.
Intellectual Property
SparkConnect Tools and its content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the app or its content without prior written consent.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
