⚡ Spark AI

Ask any electrical question. Get a cited NEC answer.

Spark AI is a field-ready NEC reference assistant built into SparkConnect Tools. Ask where the neutral goes, which circuits need GFCI, how to run a subpanel — and get an answer with the NEC article right there.

🔍

Auto-search as you type

No search button. Results appear as you type, instantly pulling relevant NEC topics.

📖

NEC article citations on every answer

Every response shows the NEC article it's based on. You always know where the answer comes from.

🔗

Jumps right to the calculator

When Spark AI finds a relevant calculation, one tap opens the exact calculator with your values pre-filled.

🔧

Installation how-to guides

Covers GFCI wiring, standard outlet wiring, subpanel setup, 3-way switches, and GFCI vs. AFCI selection.

Where does the neutral go on a GFCI outlet?
The neutral (white wire) connects to the silver screw on the LINE side of the GFCI. Black (hot) goes to brass on LINE. Bare/green ground goes to the green screw. The LOAD terminals protect any downstream outlets — label those "GFCI Protected."📖 NEC 210.8(A) · NEC 406.4
Do I need AFCI in a bedroom?
Yes — per the 2020/2023 NEC, combination-type AFCI breakers are required for most 120V, 15A and 20A branch circuits in dwelling units, including bedrooms. Check your locally adopted NEC edition for exact coverage.📖 NEC 210.12(A)

Reference tool only. Always verify with your adopted NEC edition, local AHJ, and qualified supervision.

⚠️ Reference Tool — Not a Substitute for Professional Judgment

SparkConnect Tools provides calculations and NEC code references for field planning and educational purposes only. All calculations, code citations, wire sizing, and AI-generated responses must be verified with your currently adopted NEC edition (NFPA 70), local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), manufacturer instructions, and qualified supervision before any installation. NEC article numbers are cited for reference; this app does not reproduce NEC code text. Always obtain required permits and inspections. SparkConnect Tools does not replace professional judgment, engineering review, or licensed supervision.
